Oh Claire! What an absolutely horrid spitting story!! It's a good thing those kids didn't live in Ancient Egypt or they may well have found themselves being cursed!

Theo, I'm not at all fond of spitting. It got me and a bunch of other kids in my neighborhood in trouble once. Let me tell you about it.
There is this boy named Vince whose grandparents live next door to me. Well, in front of all the other kids (older and younger) than me, he spit right on the ground.
It was supposed to be a "cool" thing, but then another girl, Bailey, picked up on it and was spitting all over the place.
Okay, that MAY have put a funny picture in your head, but think again. She then spit RIGHT ON 4-year-old Nico, who started crying.
The next day, Nico got revenge by spitting on his older brother, Kai, who is seven, and Kai punched him.
More slightly worse things happened before Mady and I (another girl who is in fourth grade) took refuge in the ditch. After all the violence and swearing ended (yes, swearing! It's terrible that they learn these things!), we told them to never EVER EVER EVER spit on anyone or anything again.
And then Vince spit.

Hm....spitting. Isn't that rather strange, that it would be used to curse and to bless? You might have mixed them up, and then what happens? You try to curse an evil (insert ancient Egyptian bad thing here), you accidentally bless it, it takes over the world. Not pleasant.

A lot of people do that, you know, Theo. I don't know, maybe they just want to express how they really feel or SOMETHING. There's always the wonderful Technology of CAPS LOCK. ;)

You would be correct, Kaitlyn. Lucia, I had RL delete the comment because all those exclamation points made the page format go bonkers!

Lucia, I think that's what R.L. meant by a POINTLESS comment, Hmm?

And it's not that bad. The Egyptians were not exactly what you'd call...normal people. Even so, I find them facinating.

REALLY? Yes, that IS quite digusting. But very interesting. Hey...maybe that's a good idea for helping me learn more about Egypt. A bit of some of an idea, no?

Hope to hear from you,

Your now civilized to being straightforward when posting comments on this honerary site,

Kaitlyn.

P.S. Well, that was SOME mouthful. :D
