More Book Tour Details
Okay, it looks like we’ve got the details finalized for the upcoming East Coast Book Tour.
Here are the places I’ll be:
Monday, May 17 3:30 – 5:00 at The Children’s Book Store in Baltimore, MD
Tuesday, May 18, 10:30 a.m. Politics and Prose, Washington DC
Wednesday, May 19, 4:00 p.m. Curious George Bookstore, Boston, Massechussetts
Thursday, May 20, 6:00 p.m*. Wellesley Booksmith, Wellesley, Massachusetts *Note the new time here–there was a mix up. The 4:00 time listed on Wellesly’s website is incorrect. It really is 6:00 pm.
Friday, May 21, 4:00 p.m. The Flying Pig Bookstore, Shelburne, Vermont
If you live close to any of these cities, I would LOVE to see some of you there!
Also, I was interviewed yesterday by a very accomplished eleven year old named Summer. My favorite question: Do you believe in curses? Check out the entire interview here.

aw, there’s none in my state….. : ( the funny thing is I’ll be in Boston the day that you’re there but its a school trip, : (
May 6th, 2010 at 12:54 am
Oh, that IS a shame, Kara! So close and yet so far… Maybe next time.
May 9th, 2010 at 4:36 am
Those are such odd names for bookstores! I wish I could visit there, but it’s quite a stretch for me. I hope the visits are successful!
May 9th, 2010 at 4:44 am
Also, I clicked on the link and Summer is AMAZING! I’m a little jealous that she got to interview you…but oh well! I enjoyed reading the interview!
May 9th, 2010 at 10:13 pm
I’ll be at the Wellesley, MA event with my son. We are so excited!
May 9th, 2010 at 10:27 pm
They do have some interesting names, don’t they, Claire? I’m sorry you aren’t closer. It would be lovely to meet you!
And I thought Summer asked some terrific questions, too. (Sorry about the feeling jealous thing. That pretty much happens to all of us at one time or another.)
And HURRAY Liz! I am THRILLED that you and your son will be at Wellesley and I will have a chance to meet you! Thanks so much for letting me know.
May 10th, 2010 at 1:18 am
Mrs. LaFevers, is there ever a chance you will come to Pittsburgh? I would rather enjoy meeting you, after all, you are the original “Egypt magic” author, not Rick Riordan.
May 10th, 2010 at 2:40 pm
Paige, I won’t make it to Pittsburgh this time, but I will absolutely pass your message on so my publisher knows there are people in Pittsburgh who are interested!
And thank you.
May 12th, 2010 at 12:05 am
Tell your publisher new york two please. : )
May 12th, 2010 at 9:43 pm
i am reading “The Red Pyramid” by Rick Riordan and I do love it, but i like his and your books for diffrent reasons. Mr.Riordan does amazing on Greek myths, but he isn’t as good on Egyptology as his P.J series. He makes Egytpology very dark and evil sounding. His writing style is diffrent in thse books, and he makes everything much more complicated then you do.
.I love the Book but i sort of like yours better, mabye i just am more used to Theo. You should think about writing Some thing Greek mythology related, if possible, i think people hould really enjoy that, thanks for listening.
have a wonerful day

I hope you can make it to Cincinnati Ohio someday! By the way, did you write the Falconmaster? I got it from the library.
May 14th, 2010 at 3:10 am
Okay, Kara. Making a note of New York. I almost went there this time, but it fell through at the last moment.
Mae, I am actually working on trying to get to Ohio, so I’ll definitely keep you posted! I’m shooting for this October, but nothing’s finalized yet.
Kate, very thoughtful comparison between Mr. Riordan’s books and the Theodosia books. Very interesting!
And yes, Mae. THE FALCONMASTER was my very first book, and VERY different from Theodosia!
May 15th, 2010 at 6:24 pm
The Falconmaster was GREAT! And just so you know, Cincy has the busiest library in the nation!
May 15th, 2010 at 6:33 pm
Say glad you liked THE FALCONMASTER, Mae! And good to know about Cincy’s busy library! Definitely need to check it out.

Hey, RL, I saw that you used to have a contest on songs to listen to before writing. I have a recommendation: King Tut by Steve Martin. It’s very funny.

Mrs. La Fevers, will you be writing any more books about Theodosia? I’ve read Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos, & Theodosia and the Staff of Osiris. And i have to admit that they sre some of the best books i have read. I’m even just ordered Theodosia and the Eyes of Horus.
June 18th, 2010 at 1:16 am
hannah i dont know if this will be helpful but i heard ms lafevers say something about the final book THEODOSIA AND THE LAST PHAROH or something like that. i have already asked her when that comes out but she has not responded.
June 18th, 2010 at 1:17 am

June 18th, 2010 at 1:44 am
Hello, hello! Yes, Hannah, I have written a fourth book, THEODOSIA AND THE LAST PHARAOH. It’s why I’ve not been around, actually, because I’ve been busy finishing up the book!
And Sasha, I did answer that question, but it was on another comment thread. Sorry!
